Hi. I'm Gerard Shutt, Director and Forest school Leader of The Wildair Forest School Education.

Two of my great passions in life have been education and the great outdoors. In 2015, after 16 years of teaching experience as a Head of Dept. and as an Advanced Skills teacher, I decided to combine them both and founded The Wildair.

The Wildair strives to promote perserverance, independance and determination in people and groups of all ages, through Forest School, bushcraft, survival and a range  outdoor activities.

You can be confident you can enjoy the outdoors all year with a qualified professional.

  • Qualified teacher (QTS)
  • DBS checked
  • Level 3 Forest School Leader
  • Basic Expedition Leader (BELA)
  • Outdoor First Aid
  • Level2 Food Hygiene
  • Comprehensive Insurance

As technology moves forward and plays a more and more prominent role in every day life, I believe it is equally important that people of all ages have the access to, and an understanding of the natural world  around them. Whether you are a school, parent or business get in touch and we will endeavour to provide a fun-packed, challenging day to meet your needs.
I Look forward to seeing you all out in The Wildair!

'Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air'.
